About U3A
We are told that we go through three stages in life. The first stage is our childhood where we develop our life skills. The second is our life where we utilize and continue to develop our skills and learning. The third is our retirement and this is the stage where we have the greatest opportunity to continue our learning and develop our knowledge in areas we didn’t have time for previously. The U3A is the perfect place for this to happen. We share our knowledge, our skills and our passions, with no pressure to meet deadlines or perform in exams. We can just enjoy the process.

U3A Sapphire Coast, along with our sister organisation Bermagui U3A , covers most of the Bega Valley Shire and is a great way to meet other retired people and make new friends across the entire Shire. U3A is a not for profit, world wide movement which fosters shared learning in a friendly, non-political, non-sectarian atmosphere. No educational qualifications are required to join U3A; your ‘school of life’ experience is all that is required. Because everyone is a volunteer being a member and taking part in our program is extremely affordable.
